The idea and the name of this piece came from a lunch date with my wife that consisted of turkey subs. I was watching birds pick at the crumbs on the ground, and they were bouncing around on a giant slab of concrete. From my angle there were no cracks, lines, or anything to be a point of reference. Only the orientation of the birds let me know that I was looking down at them. I thought it was so cool that I challenged myself to recreate this optical illusion of depth with no points of reference. You should see this one in person; it's wild, no matter where you are in the room your looking down at the birds...trippy. This piece has been sold to Mr. DJ Fernandez. Thanks!
